Things I Love Thursday

Graduation! I finally graduated cosmetology school! I graduated yesterday & it was fantastic. I'm so glad to be done & now I can start my career & do what I love! No more mullet cutting, no more pedicures, no more perms. I'll admit I'm kind of nervous about starting my new job, but I'm confident that I'll do just fine :) Now all that's left is taking all of my board exams ASAP & getting my license! And I don't have to spend so much time in Foley, Alabama! Foley is pretty much the anus of Alabama. You'll feel like you traveled back in time if you've ever been there.

Crafting Wow, I really haven't touched any crafts for what seems like forever! It's really been more like a couple of weeks & it was nice to have a little break. I literally just sat the hell around & just...relaxed. Did nothing. And it was awesome. Now I'm working on a series of snippets of the Christian Bale rant. I have good feelings about the series :) I have a couple of things to list on Etsy as well, but I want to wait until I build up a little bit more instead of posting one at a time.

Spending time with some friends I feel like the past year I've neglected a lot of my buddies because I had such a crazy schedule but I've been trying to spend more time with them & actually go out & do things. I used to be such a "party girl" it's kind of weird being out of social shape. Last weekend was my first weekend without a job in a very long time so it was nice feeling to be able to enjoy a "real" weekend. I went to a party at the beach, I went to the Arts & Crafts festival with Joni, got some sun, drank fresh lemonade...it was a really nice weekend.

My birthday is next Thursday! I have been so wrapped up on graduating school & exams & all that, that I haven't even stopped to think that holy shit, my birthday is next week! Listen, birthdays never get old to me. I don't care how old I get I love having birthdays! It's just another excuse for me to partaaaay! Will kinda spilled the beans the other night & told me he was going to take me to see Ben Folds. Eeeeee! I'm so glad Will can't keep anything from me, haha! I'm stoked!
*Honorable Mentions*
flowers covering my station, talking books with Tiffany, NIN obesssions, "seriously, they're so cool, they don't even try!", scary mannequin heads all in my back seat, cookie cake, vegetarian graduation parties, sleeping in till noon & not getting out of bed or putting clothes on, Kurt Vonnegut, new chapters in life, back rubs & foot rubs, my new hair!, hello kitty bandaids, Rock of Love Bus, rainy weather, drinking Keystone Light, karaoke, pink shoulders, singing Incredibad songs in joni's car, new candles, Phat Quarter, NIN & Jane's Addiction May 10th!

I'm so happy for you, Rachel. I know you've worked really hard to get here. Hurrah!

I am super jealous of all the great concerts you are going to be seeing! "There's Always Someone Cooler Than You" by Ben Folds is my theme song. If he asks for requests, maybe you can put that one in there for me. :)

Thanks for the shout out to the Phat Quarter. I'm really digging it, too. :)

Ugh, I live in Foley too. I'm away at college right now, but you're absolutely right. Foley is the butthole of this state. It is where dreams go to die. I limit my visits to 2 or 3 times a year, but everytime I go, I feel like it's a townie apocalypse. Congratulations though! You're one of the lucky ones.

Sherezada-Thanks, doll! On both accounts :)

Anonymous-Thank god I don't live there, I don't know if I'd be able to make it! Do we know each other?

Loca4crafts-Thank you! Yeah, it is so totally amazing :)

Thanks Brook!I've been told that it's a breeze from here on out, so I hope so! We didn't get to do anything fun with our stations though, I just had wedding pics up there & my name, that's it haha!

Haha Foley sucks. Yay for graduating!

MN was weird. I took all of my state exams before I even graduated. So I got my license in the mail like a week after I graduated and didn't have to do anything.
