Combining facials with cross stitch

And by facials, I'm not talking about the oatmeal & honey kind.

Now everyone has their "rules" about what they'll do or not do regarding sex. This is one of mine. I've always found it gross & degrading, and I highly doubt a woman who says that she's into a guy jizzing on her face. Because, seriously. Who wants that?

Updates! New cross stitches! Stuff!

So when we last left off, I was flipping my shit over Bob Ross requesting my services. He has since received it & was very complimentary, even posting something about it on his Facebook. He sent me some sweet pics too!

Sneak peek of Season Cinco!

Bob showing off my cross stitch! Awwwws....

Although it's been a minute since I've blogged, I've been keeping busy with the salon & Etsy. I have one more sale until I've sold 100 items from Etsy. Woo! I've been trying to recover from xmas & restock the shop but I haven't been able to catch up yet! Note to self-don't wait until you have 11 items before trying to get it back up to 30+.

I hadn't embroidered in a while & I came across this adorable owl pattern & knew...it must be done. I tried to give it kind of a "vintage" feel. It was nice playing around with colors I don't usually work with! I'm usually drawn to the bright, bold colors but I've been digging on the subdued colors lately. I guess it's not that these colors aren't bright, but...you get what I mean.

I loved stitching the eyes!

If you haven't checked out the shop in a while, shame on you. Just kidding, make it up to me by going there now! Here are a few of my new favorites from the shop.

Go on, check 'em out! Take a peek at my flickr page for all the rest of the goodness!

Custom cross stitch FOR the Tan Man on Tim & Eric Awesome Show!

Hello everyone! I've been having a serious geek-out fit for the last week. Why? Because I was contacted by Bob Ross, the Tan Man on Tim & Eric Awesome Show wanting one of my cross stitches!!! Yes! It's true! Some of you may not know this, but it's one of my all-time favorite shows. I've already done two cross stitches inspired by the show, one from Zach Galifianakis's character, The Snuggler & the other is from one of their songs, I've got chubs for you. Yeah, I love this show.

He messaged me on Facebook saying he would like for me to do a piece for the character & after I shit myself, I got to work!

I refused money & instead am getting a priceless signed picture & I got some sweet MP3 files, one being a promo for my Etsy shop & the other is my new greeting on my phone!
I'll be sending it out to him tomorrow & I hope he likes it as much as I liked making it for him.

And hey, if you're a fan of the show Season Cinco (which Bob Ross will also be on!) is premiering on Adult Swim February 28!

Happy Holidays, everyone! See you next year!

Oh, hello cross stitch. I missed you.

It had been too long...way too long since I had gone on a cross stitching binge. I'm still in the throes of it, but I thought I'd post a few that I've done in the past couple of weeks.
First up, a custom order for my friend. This was inspired by an actual sign in Alabama (BIBLE BELT REPRAZENT!)

I accidentally made it heart shaped. But ya know, I think that's kinda perfect. Wanna see the sign that it's inspired by? Sure you do!
If there's one thing I love about living in Alabama, it's the hilarious church signs. Fucking priceless. I'm thinking about making another one to add to my Etsy shop...hmm...maybe...

Now here's one that I recently added. I had already done the quote before but I thought I'd do another & change it up a bit. This was a quote from Tina Fey & goddamn, I just thought it was hilarious & so SO true. Check out the skit here. And ok, yeah, I changed "stuff" to "shit". Thought it had a better ring to it. So sue me. don't sue me.

available @ my Etsy for $17!

Going back to the church-y kinda stuff, I took inspiration from one of my husband's old T-shirts & made this little gem. The lesser known 11th commandment!
I really really love this one. I was going for that stone tablet appeal. Well, for the font at least.

And then I was inspired by one of my all-time favorite video games, Super Mario Bros 3. Now, I think that across the board, gamers hate water levels of all kinds. But man, I really think the water levels in SMB3 are a real fucking bitch. Thank jeebus for the frog suit.

available @ my Etsy for $16!

I cannot tell you how many times my husband & I have uttered these words. Ugh. Fucking HATE water levels.

I'll be listing at least one more cross stitch this week. Keep those eyes peeled!
