Grow a Pair cross stitch & mom's towel

So I've finished 2 out of the 4 projects I got going at the moment so I thought it was time to share :)
I'm working on an apron for one of my buddies & it should be finished soon...I'm always excited to do any kind of crafts for my friends! I also have a cross stitch I wanna finish soon-ish. Damn you, crafts! Every time I try to take a break, you always suck me right back in! Anyways, I'm kind of rambling...

Here is the towel I am giving to my mom. She looooves wine. She was so disappointed when I had turned 21 & couldn't have a glass of wine with her, I can't stand the stuff. Worst. Hangovers. EVER. I'd have a beer with her though! Yeah, I'm classy like that. I just drink beer & liquor.

I'm not quite sure if I'm totally pleased with how the wine glass came out..I used satin stitch, stem stitch, & back stitch on it. Maybe too many different stitches? I don't know. It's cool though, my mom will still love me. :D

Now, here's the cross stitch I just did. My husband said this the other day & my first reaction was, "I'm cross stitching that!"
As you can probably tell from this cross stitch, I am not huge fan of whiners, complainers, gutless people, etc. I consider myself a pretty strong person & I am not a fan of the weak. Sooo...I stitched up a "Grow a Pair" cross stitch! I think the growing vines are pretty damn perfect too, although I'm getting kind of bored with using the Subversive Cross Stitch borders. And for those who don't know, it's grow a pair of balls, or ovaries! See! Interchangeable! Haha

available @ my Etsy shop for $15!

Oh, and I hope everyone voted today! I typically don't care too much for politics but this election is extremely important to me, as I'm sure it is to all of you. This was actually the first year I had ever registered to vote & the first year (obviously) that I voted! I hope they don't take this one away from us, if so, my husband & I have talked about moving to Japan! I love it when I hear him speaking Japanese. He's taking a Japanese course right now & he had talked about how he wanted to teach English over there or something to do with journalism since that's his major. His pipe dream though is to write for a video game magazine, which I think would be rad as hell :) We are serious nerds! And really, how cool would it be to live in Japan?!

That's all I got for now, but I'll have some more projects up here soon! Sorry if this post seems a bit rambly...I'm a little loopy from the pain killers I took earlier for the migraine that has decided to stick around for almost a week. Score!

Props to you for registering and voting for the first time! :) I voted this morning.

I love your new stitchings. Your Mama is gonna love the merlot piece. I don't think there's too many different stitches on the wine glass; they all add nice texture and dimension.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the nice words on the wine glass! Beefranck, yeah I really dig the cross stitch too :)

Sherezada, thank you! It was pretty exciting to vote...although I do live in Alabama which is a definite Republican state, I still felt like maybe, just maybe, I was making a difference. And I hope you've gotten your scarf!
